For all their evil deeds as We are told , The Mob knew how to make a customer feel like they were getting value for their dollar even though they were loosing.The days of comped weekends, Free food ,lodging and entertainment are no more. Big business wants big profits and give nothing of value in return. They give you some lame ass piece of plastic and want you to think it’s the greatest thing since butter. Sure drop $1000.00 get a free buffet. I say bring back the Mob to run Vegas and People will once again speak of Las Vegas as the Funnest place on Earth …………….

They still call Vegas "Sin City" even though it has no more Sin than anywhere else. What used to be a Adult playground is just like any other over marketed tourist destination. The "Sin" has been replaced by Greed. The Police WILL in short order make it a point to turn Your Vacation into a nightmare it’s their one joy in life (except disrupting traffic flow) if You get shit all stupid. Smoking has been banned just about everywhere except the actual gaming floor and NO, prostitution is NOT legal in Clark county even though it is promoted everywhere. Sin City? No, not anymore, not any more than anywhere else …………. We manage to make the top ten of every worst list in the country. You hear about all the crime, gangs and drugs. The high prices, the UN- friendly people, the traffic and the the changes that have turned Vegas into anything but what it once was. Is it still worth coming to Vegas? Hell Yes !! Why? Because as visitors you come to either the strip or Downtown, that is the tourist Las Vegas. Go to Mexico, Acapulco, Rio, any of the popular South American hot spots. The popular resorts are just a stones throw from poverty, from the worst they have to offer. Go to LA, New York, Florida and You’ll find all the crime, drugs and problems You find anywhere else anymore. Vegas is as any other big city after a boom if You wander into the mist of it. For most tourists Las Vegas is the strip, downtown and day tours. Your biggest worry is running into another jackass drunk tourist thinking with his ass. The crime and drugs even when You live here is seldom faced unless you put yourself in the path. Las Vegas is still Las Vegas even with the changes of the last 30 years. You still have more action in a two mile strip than anywhere else on the planet. Something every Adult must experience at least once, if for no other reason than to know with personal knowledge what not to come back to.

Vegas Used to be "Sin City" now it is along with much of the once swinging Adult areas in the US more of a "Wimp City" When I went to my first Adult Show back in 1998, the IA2000 I was told  " You should have been here last year" because that was the first year they could no longer show nudity at a "ADULT" show. What the fuck is up with that ? What’s really going on ?  While many countries in Europe are moving ahead with "Freedom" We seem to be mpving backwards. I mean shit even Cripple Creek back in the 1890’s had whore houses. It’s always fun till they build the first Church. Say what You want, believe what You hear but the longest running stage show in mankinds history still controls our freedoms.

Las Vegas has gone from being a fun town when the mob ran it, to a fun park when big biz took control. Now it is just a town dedicated to take as much of Your money with giving minimal return value as it can……. BUT it’s still all We have …………..

Las Vegas started as a Mecca in the desert for the lovers of sin, a place where Adults could be adults without the holier than thou’s spouting their crap. It was run by local yokal Cowboys and mobsters alike and its stayed a fantasy destination for the morally warped to enjoy what they enjoyed. Food was cheap, rooms were affordable and the entertainment was the best at a price all could enjoy. You could go to a 2 a.m show at the Sands and sit among the rich and famous as well as Billy Bob from Kansas. You could go to a small off strip club like "Keyboard lounge" and rub elbows with the likes of  Frank, Sammy, Dean or maybe even Tony Spilotro.Now chances are you wiull get pushed to the ground by one of their bodyguards. Granted, the World is not what it was, not as giving or innocent but what the hell ?

Now after the failure of Vegas becoming a Family amusment park, We are in the era of the faux "MTV" generation, $15.00 bagels and coffee and room and entertainment  prices all but those who save all year or the fortunate ones can afford. Las Vegas has become a mecca for cash flow of the already wealthy.

 I guess as long as big business can pound sand up the consumers ass and make them think they got a great deal anything is possible. As long as the new age consumer is as stupid as they seem someone will find a way to seperate them from their money. That has always been the way , the difference is once upon a time they gave you value for your dollar, A kiss so to speak before the screwed You. Now it’s  no kiss and You pay for the screwing.

But what the hell do I know …………….
